PowerING2007

PowerING2007 is an application designed on the platform of AutoCAD for designing the 0.4 – 110 kv power supply lines. It consists of two applications allowing to speed up general operations in the overall technological process:
  1. LandProfiler2007 – an application designed to help survey subdivisions design power supply lines on the plan drawings .
  2. PowerING2007 – an application designed to assist an electrical department design power supply lines according to the layouts and profiles prepared in LandProfiler2007 or in other applications.

Functional capabilities LandProfiler2007

  1. Power line design according to plan drawings. The trace can be plotted on the general plan to be later projected on to other plan drawings. Alternatively, different sections of the trace can be plotted separately and later are merged with the use of a special function.
  2. Enables effective collaborations work of team members. Each member of a work team can work on his set of drawings, which are later incorporated into the general project.
  3. Determination of trace marks according to DTM. Surfaces can be created in any application. Marks can be set manually.
  4. Generation of the profiled drawing of any section of the trace to given scale.
  5. Trace line design: insertion of picket marks and distance marks. Insertion of leaders for support, including general leaders for supports, set at equal distances.

Functional capabilities PowerING2007

  1. Built-in support catalogue in the form of a set of sub-catalogues each containing a list of support items. One can distribute supports between the sub-catalogues in any way one likes and add new supports. The application delivery set includes a catalogue containing a large number of supports.
  2. Automatic placement of supports in a specified section or along the whole trace. The placement is carried out synchronically on all drawings containing the specified section or part. Before placement, supports have to be selected from the catalogue.
  3. Editing of supports’ position on the profile and layout by means of AutoCAD. Supports are designated by AutoCAD blocks on the plans and profiles.
  4. Automatic projection of the supports’ position and properties from the current layout or profile drawing to other drawings (synchronization of supports according to the current drawing) containing the same section of the trace with automatic re-design of the changed sections. Automatic projection of the supports’ position and properties from other design drawings to the current layout or profile drawing (synchronization of the drawing with the design).
  5. Automatic control of supports identity at the trace sections contained in two or more design drawings, for example, on the plan or profile.
  6. Generation of support image on the profile, taking into account the drawing’s scale.
  7. Integration of the wire mechanical analysis with LineMech 2.0 application. Different wires can be assigned to different anchor spans. Wire properties and wire mechanical analysis information are attached to an anchor span as an XLS file, created in Line Mech 2.0 or manually.
  8. Analysis and drawing up of curve sag of wire. Lower, upper or both sags can be drawn in a span depending on the point of crossing (above or below the corresponding suspensions).
  9. Analysis of dimensions with respect to crossed objects. Possibility to choose the position of the check point used for analysis on the object. Check points can be created automatically according to the surveyors’ list of crossings kept in the project’s base or manually, by specifying the position of the check point on the drawing.
  10. Each check point holds the wire analysis mode. A span contains the number of curve sags equal to the number of check points. On the profile drawing, each check point is assigned a leader specifying the distance to the wire and to the upstream support, difference of heights of supports in the span, etc.
  11. Control over dimensions and comparison with standard values is conducted in one general table showing all the dimensions in one anchor span.
  12. Possibility to insert a support at a specific distance from another support and leveling of intermediate supports inside the anchor span.
  13. Automatic numbering of supports with alteration of numbers at the support leaders simultaneously on all drawings. Command option of search for specified span allows one to see a list of design drawings containing the span. Command option of numbering of spans with points of crossings launches series numbering of objects crossed by the trace and inserts leaders specifying the numbers of crossings on the layout and profile drawings.
  14. Capacity to create a register of supports for one drawing or the whole design. Capacity to create a register of crossings for one drawing or the whole design.
  15. Capacity to allow simultaneous design work by several designers.
